Inside Bubbles and Beer Gardens!

The Children's Museum in Munich had a fun bubble exhibit last week. Tristan had lots of fun making gigantic bubbles.

Here is Tristan INSIDE a bubble!

The children also did a bubble workshop. This is very serious work!

Here we are at one of our favorite summer beer gardens Waldwirtschaft (also known as Wawi by the locals) in the town of Grosshesselohe. Nearly every Sunday for the last six weeks, Christian and I walk here, while Tristan rides his bicycle. It's about a two mile trip each way, so we bring along the wagon in case Tristan loses his steam and needs to hitch a ride and tow his bike.

It's a lovely spot where families come to spend a Sunday afternoon listening to a live jazz band and catching up with friends. The nice thing about a beer garden is that so long as you buy their beer, you can bring all of your own food if you so desire. Many people pack baskets of food and enjoy the atmosphere.

We typically pack fresh fruit, hummus, olives, bread, and other goodies. But they do offer open air style roasted chicken, ribs, sausages, schnitzle, salads, and of course a WIDE variety of beer!

Me and my sweet baby bear.

Sometimes we meet up with friends and enjoy a game or two.

And these giant sized pretzels are bigger than Tristan's head...now that's BIG!

We are heading to the South of France this week to Provence for 10 days...so I will have a million amazing pictures to post when we return!
