Rochester in Spring 2011

We are pretty sure Tristan is going to be an entomologist!
With Spring comes lots of insects and bugs for Tristan to meet.

Tristan and I baked Easter cookies together.
Tristan did a beautiful job decorating them!

You can see his Charlie Brown tongue as he concentrates on the task.

Easter Morning

The Easter Bunny left Tristan two friends...a pony and a donkey.

I love it when I capture Tristan in deep thought.

Daddy and Tristan before the Easter egg hunt.

A basket and a note were left on the front steps..."there are 30 eggs for you to find."

That sneaky Easter Bunny planting a fake amoungst the real eggs!

Very clever of that bunny to color coordinate the eggs with the flowers!

Even the gnome home had a visit from the Easter Bunny.

Happy Easter!

Tristan loved spending time with the newest edition to our family
Isaiah James!
He's so proud to be holding a little one.

Priceless!

It looks as though Tristan is telling Isaiah the secrets of the world.

This was the May Day Fair at Tristan's Waldorf School.  It was so lovely to welcome the children through to the May pole with a forsithia arch.

Tristan with his teacher Mrs. Small.

Time for Tristan and mommy to join in on the fun!

Once again Tristan was caught in a deep thought while stuffing his pockets wtih flowers.

friends...

We can't figure out how he does that with his feet!

Tristan and daddy take a walk in the fair well spiral.

Bug Hunting!

Time to plant the garden.
After watching the seedlings grow stronger and stronger in the cold frame for several weeks, it was time to move them into the ground.
Big hands and little hands work together.
Love those big chocolate brown eyes!
Off to fetch the eggs.

We went to the Soule Homestead Farm for a Spring festival.
We watched a sheep get sheared, then learned how to wash and card the wool.

 Mother's Day!
The first harvest!
Tristan was ever so proud of his radishes.
One day just as the sun was going down Tristan and I discovered that a baby robin had fallen out of its nest.
Daddy showed us how to feed him worms.
He was hungry!
After taking such good care of the little robin, we put him high up on the arbor so his mum could find him.
Second harvest...carrots!
Here is Tristan beaming with pride at his first grown carrot.
It was a wonderful spring!
