We spent 5 days on the beautiful island of Sardinia, and most of that time was spent on the beach kicking back!

There was lots of beach combing and many treasures to be found! Tristan affectionately named us the "Happy Beach Crab Family" for this trip.

We stayed on the East coast of the island in the town of Budoni, right on the water.

Tristan collected so many precious items, he could hardly carry them all.

Try as we may, we couldn't get Tristan to keep his bottoms on, and so he frolicked on the beach happy as a naked clam!

Sand drawings...

Tristan wanted to switch hats with daddy and then examine their findings.
Village of Posada, where after snapping this old lady's picture she started yelling at me in Italian and chasing me with a stick!
Tristan ready for another exciting day of exploration.

Tristan's gorgeous yummy crab toes!

Of course you haven't really gone to Italy if you haven't had a gelato!

And this is Tristan on a sugar high before he has even finished!

What a beautiful olive tree within the castle ruins.

The very first things we found on the beach were what I called "Sea Potatoes". They just seem to be made from dried grass and rolled around in the sand by the wind. Tristan collected a million so we could play toss the sea potato.

Resting in the shade of an olive tree after climbing up to Castello Della Fava, a 13th century castle ruin in the town of Posada.

Magnificent lemon trees!

Tristan picking wild flowers for our dinner table.

Hunting for bugs in the "grass as tall as spears"!

One final beach moment before we headed off to the airport and back to Deutchland.
It was a very "busy" vacation for Tristan. He was always so engrossed in whatever he was doing, that it was hard to tear his attention away for a photograph. So in most pictures, Tristan is heading away, or looking ahead, or focusing on a "project"...because that is his essence.
CIAO!
